What Happened To America?

I got irritated by the news at CNN while changing a patient in the room at work. CNN I guess turned out to be one sided. I mean hearing their hosts comments regarding the political chaos in the country I can determine that they hate Trump.

The poor president had endured this silent mocking and character assassination all through his term and now that his term is nearly ending the hosts of CNN is screaming to impeach him and could not be deterred.

The president has nothing in mind but the preservation of the American legacy which the left had already gradually erased because of socialism ideology. Urban centers become the hub of over democracy which turned out to be racially centered and selfish.

The entitled attitude of the youngsters and the loss of the authentic American identity was imminent and the independent mindset of the people didn't even realized that the dogma that eventually evolved was a socialist atmosphere. Whether they knew it or not this is happening in our midst. Things had gone awry lately.

I guess America is divided right now. People in the rural areas were still glued to the traditional idea of democracy wherein the center of it was the family. Whereas in the urban areas the heart of democracy was focused on one self. It is a preposterous notion but it is happening.

People had witnessed the mocking of true democracy from last year's election. The electoral officials had failed the world because of massive fraud and discrepancies in counting and certifying the results. No wonder some people were very outspoken regarding the outright tarnishing of our free choice.

Whether it is true or not it is not somebody's delight. People should realize that in the end we the people will suffer from this treasonous acts and that the world is watching at us trying to destroy our brotherhood.

Come to think of it, our ancestors died for the democracy that we enjoyed in this era but to some entitled people they just don't care because they don't sweat for the independence that our ancestors fought. And that is selfish!

I'm just observing what is happening in our country but the scar that this betrayal had caused is deep and had left a very hurtful and deep cut that will probably not heal. Believe me that the actions that we do will haunt us in the end.

My Goodlooking Beau

My boyfriend keeps texting me his love through WhatsApp and I am overwhelmed because he always ended his text with endearment. I am flabbergasted and of course happy that he loves me. He even send me his handsome pictures, sometimes provocative pictures and videos as well. Hahaha.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1iCtnU-26rOZ9kKWOQMko3B-YdZy1RE1n

I'm always happy that he really likes me. So far this is the best that happened in all my relationships in the past. I am always blessed that I met such loving and caring person. I always thanked God for guiding me in my choices and decisions. It was hard initially but as I go along with the relationship I can adapt to any situation after that. It's just second nature to me, I don't know.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1WsIcFPPguA1XfL5LF9-Al8d5wA6_UHQk

Now, this guy is very dear. Smart and patient. I gather that he is an Aquarius and is a total opposite of my zodiac sign. I just wondered why we clicked like a glue. Aquarius and Scorpio were actually enemies and they don't match in every sort. But this friendship was even stickier and sweet than honey, I bet ya.

First of, he is 25 years old. A Colombian but lives in Mexico City with his mom and two siblings. He is family oriented. A non-practicing Catholic but has fear in God. He is hardworking, dedicated, super patient, easily annoyed (like an Aquarian), independent, happy, gregarious, affectionate, caring, super handsome, cute, tall, fair skinned, resourceful, thinker, well groomed, smells good, loves to travel, loves nature, and many more.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1qeOZ_z96aj8KZyJfggjb8yWveYqQeKK2still have to know him more. This friendship is still new and still on the growing stage. I am hopeful that this will last. I really like him so much and I can see that he is also swooning on this relationship. I have no expectations yet because I am scared that it will not be realized. But knowing where this relationship is heading I have some visions of what to expect. I am excited!

I am just rationalizing about this team-up but I am hopeful. I will make sure I will take care of this relationship, nurture it and make it work. Communication is vital so I have to make some effort to make it work.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=17f4-SxpnsxnX_O3DdM7l7ZE7o0zZt9qj

I am just happy right now where it's heading. All I just need to do is enjoy it, make an effort to make it work, and love my Papi unconditionally forever. Swoon, swoon. Haist!

15 More Days To Go

The day of my departure for my short vacay to CDMX is near. I just cannot contain my excitement. I wish I can pull the days forward with a snap of my finger and just enjoy the planned vacation right now. Haist.

I don't know why I kept coming back to Mexico, but the real reason about it started in 2012 when I first visited the country so fresh and had no idea about it and just eventually fell in love with it's beauty, culture, and people. From then on, I just kept coming back, especially when I missed it. I just wanted to unwind, met people, and travel and it's always in my number one list.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=13VZW6A-l2hB7gkdYKdsEF5a8rm2brFXj

Apart from that, I left my heart in Mexico long time ago. Hehehe... there have been four  guys that had awesomely struck my heart. And I have enjoyed their company from then on and giving me security and comfort when I am with them. Though I know it was just a temporary relationship still I cannot forget my unforgettable experiences with them especially the most intimate moments.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1qdNI5AJlw6avemVRH_IoTiLsLIbyv3kp

I met the first one through a dating site in 2012, the one that officially introduced me the country. He is a pure local, A Mexican by heart. He gladly toured and showed me to the places that I haven't been around Mexico. To name were Puebla, Teotihuacan, Cholula, Taxco, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Tuxtla Guerrero, San Cristobal, Veracruz, Chihuahua, CDMX, etc. He was very instrumental in making me roam around the country and search for the Mayan ruins making them my ultimate fascination.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1f6iMzo6DpPnoD5-UqUn7INtefgdsdOpv

But on my second visit we had some unforgettable messy spat and from there I did not hear about him anymore. I emailed him, send him messages in the messenger and Facebook, greeted him during his birthdays but he did not responded ever since.

Gin aw

The second one was a softie. I met him from the same dating site I met the first one. He was physically active but very romantic and passionate. He was very touchy and caressing. He always goes to the gym and loves to fish in the ocean. He is Argentinian by blood, very hairy, sexy, muscular guy. We had a very intimate platonic relationship despite of the distance we had. We always communicate through WhatsApp and Instagram and he always greets me almost twice a week because he is busy as a personal trainer until it gradually faded out.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1PiL5ki47rE1EEc_DR8NkWhfzMoaMvUtw

The relationship had just eventually died out because of lack of communication. He is a very busy person. I always greeted him on his birthday. He is a cancer and I internally know his birthday. He is always grateful about that. We ended up as a very good friends eventually. He is so dear to me. I heard lately that he converted as a vegetarian and is passionate about yoga.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1wljDJfWJiq52hsYjKb08QItjsPeiuJga

The third one I met when I was visiting a friend in CDMX. He is handsome and muscular. He is bisexual. Actually, I met him with his girlfriend but we talked a lot  more compared to her girlfriend. When we went to the restroom together he bumped on me and something had sparked there. He let me touched him and he liked it. We exchanged phones and we call and WhatsApp each other.

One time when I layer over in CDMX going to Guatemala he told me to stay for one night and we met. He told me that he cannot get over about what happened last time so he wanted to see me and talk to me for closure. He wanted me to be his close friend and told me that he will be moving to Portugal and still wants me to contact him. We ended up being close friends and still communicating until each other until now.

The fourth  one I met from the same dating site I met the first and the second. He is  Colombian. He was very caring and also compassionate. He calls me his "Baby".  But he only wanted to meet me to ask for money. I feel that we really connected to each other at first. We also talked through Instagram and WhatsApp. He always  says hi to me and asks how am I doing.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1ywl8chTWjYfxYSScDdX-0YnNDFmtl_zS

Of all the boys I had from Mexico he was the only one who always calls me to ask for money. He is also a sweet/smooth talker. But I ended up the relationship early because he is a liar. I detest liars. And I realized it is not healthy for me to expect that the relationship will grow because of his lifestyle. The details about it, I'll just keep it to myself and thanks for your kind understanding about it.

Now, he lives in Puerto Vallarta and is enjoying the life of this beautiful coastal town. We're still good friends despite of the betrayal. Hehehe. I still stalk him in Instagram. Hahaha.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1kYzdcs3digaDMhMrtQBa90vbmC7z_tfl

The fifth one, I just met recently after I broke up with the fourth one. I think it was written or hinted from the stars/skies and I did not really expect about it because I was still nursing my feelings from the just recently concluded relationship. It was not meant to happen but it happened.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1GOPTvMIVhfUgi3ZPYmtWpKgTxwzTl0MT

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1ccqI9aSB08H7xKiqmU_jcEUtARk8w9Mn

I met this one from the same dating site I met the second and the fourth one. He is also Colombian (what's with the Colombians?). I met him just for curiousity but he was very insistent to continue the relationship despite of the distance between us and the awkwardness of how we met. I had some doubts at first but oh well I have to give him a chance to prove himself. And besides he's the one insisting, so be it.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1cQZ30tDKitBFSPBZ6IxsoWwX_1_P6q8T

We grow so far, from talking through WhatsApp and there I knew how compassionate he was and how nurturing he is for our relationship. He was always reminding me  to take care of my health and the only one who always says, "I love you." to me.  And he always made me feel so special and made me feel like a special princess.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1KgH8W9gi2ZrMxKTSwDjJCbYSczNNauQv

Now, I am excited because I will be seeing him in fifteen days and I just can't wait to hug him, kiss him, and bask on his pure love for me. I really thank God for this handsome guy that He gave me and I am proud of him for owning me as his dear love. I am a happy guy now and I appreciate how awesome God loved me. Never been grateful of the blessings I got from Him and prouder that I am His special person.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=19w0i9D40nZLt2y9XRk7vysEcUWcfU2c1

I am just excited about the forthcoming trip and I can't wait anymore. I am very hopeful about this relationship but I don't really expect that much. I am just happy to have him in my life, that's all. And he is proud of me to be his distance partner. I am just thankful for this, that's all!

My Mexico City Adventure

Hello guys! I'm back again here in my blog and I've got a lot of things to tell you. Recently, I travelled to Mexico City despite the pandemic. Only Mexico accepts tourists at this time so I did not hesitate to buy a ticket and flew to the country to unwind.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1ptUT4ALkXPkNqiphwv0BuJ8sPhOlBsYC

Work was been tough. It had stressed me out and cause some burnouts. Plus the Covid19 issue was been giving a toll to my psyche and mental health, so it's apt for me to take a break and enjoy some space in my schedule.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1UtPDotjGKQcatZYUOzhIX1jtvZj9s2XU

I went to Mexico City on November 12 to November 18 and I had a lot of adventures. It was a week of wanton frenzy, hilarious experiences, and outright fun.

11/12 - Coming To Mexico - I was at the airport at 9PM because my direct flight to Mexico City leaves at 12AM. The flight was short and I arrived at Mexico City at 4:15AM. I was lining at the immigration when I realized that I left my passport at the seat pocket in the plane. I was nervous that time thinking that I cannot go back to the plane to get my passport. I almost panicked but I have to be strong and I kept my cool instead. I told the immigration officer about my dilemma. He then radioed the plane representative and the representative came and interviewed me.

I told the guy that I left my passport at the seat pocket in the plane. He then radioed the plane and asked if they found a passenger's passport. The crew said that they did not found any. The guy went back to me and told me that the crew did not found any passengers passport in the plane.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1my-71BQ9tskoXuapS2OCZdrQyj4b9KxN

I told the guy that I left it in the seat pocket in front of Seat 19F. Then he went back to radio the crew again and told him of the situation. After 3/4 hour the guy went back and said that they found the passport and there I sighed real hard with relief. He then told me that it will take a while for the crew to bring the passport so he directed me to the waiting area.

After 3 grueling hours of waiting at the immigration waiting room they brought the passport and then the officer stamped it and handed it to me and I was ready to go. Welcome to Mexico City!! Yay! I left the airport at almost 8AM called a taxi and had me dropped off at the hotel. I will stay at the hotel for one night because my Airbnb apartment is not available that day.

At the hotel I met a cute guy and we had a long talk. We were so comfortable at each other. He then invited me to go up in the room and we had a long chat there until he started caressing me on the bed. Then I gave in. It was passionate and intimate. And he said that he like what happened. I was also surprised of my actions and I think that was fast. I was all over the moon that time. It was dreamy...

11/13 - Taco Crawl - I had an appointment for the Taco Crawl at Roma Norte. I woke up early and changed for I have to call the Uber to drop me off at the meeting. There I met the host, his name is Avidian. He is cute and handsome with nice cool blue eyes. I was the only client that day because the other client had to cancel at  the last minute.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1JtpZRLhQqG5uoVxbrbtjZXLxzt7C2GZf

We started our walk going to the vegan taco shop and he showed me how it is being made. I have experienced how to mix the corn with lime powder and he showed me the mill that actually sort out the tacos. We also had a chance to taste the taco quesadilla with the corn fungi and a drink from the soaked corn. It was delicious!

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1oaoyJczgl7-PdSMAp7xDzTlhQHSoMyh1

Then we headed to a mercado and found a small stall inside that sell tacos. The taco that I tasted there was different and came from the Yucatan peninsula. It is made of slow cooked pork topped with pickled onions and chopped cilantro. The green salsa was also good. What was worth remembering on this experience was the Jamaica (dried hibiscus) drink that I drank. It was silky thick, deliciously rich, and tastes really heaven. It still lingers on my tongue.

After the Mercado we went to a restaurant to taste an authentic fish taco. The serving was hefty and it was messy to eat. The fish was soaked with a special sauce the whole night, then they fried it and shred it into flakes and then put it in  a taco and topped it with a lot of pickled onions and fried jalapeno peppers. It was also very delicious.

After the fish taco we went to the pulqueria and tasted the mezcal. It was smooth and has a great kick afterwards. It is good to chase the mezcal with salt and lime. My throat got warmed up and then followed by my body. Just one shot and I'm a totally different person.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1D5EpGcEWDv0iEtllo4PrXPYiua2QZux8

After the mezcal we went to another taco place. This was the last taco place and I have to sample the famous al pastor. It was really good especially when topped with roasted pineapple. I finished two and still the taste had stayed in my mouth for a while. The meat was just cooked well.

After the taco al pastor we went to the chocolateria nearby and ordered a chocolate drink and a caneloni. Then Avidian invited me to walk  in the park while having good and intimate conversation. Then we parted ways after we ate our treats. Thank you Avidian for showing me a lot of taquerias in town. For sure when I come back to Mexico City I will come back again to the places that we have been. It was a worthwhile experience and I cannot forget it.

11/14 - Downtown Photoshoot - I had a photoshoot scheduled at the Zocalo. I have to meet my host Carlos and his girlfriend Ana at the Cabalito Statue. I woke up early and prepared myself for the photoshoot. Made sure that I washed my hair so that it will become shiny on the photos.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1LiqM3HIp9T6T6e2RksLy31eP6jIN0_-N

I waited for this event and I was excited. I walked towards our meeting place because it was 10 minutes away from the apartment that I stayed. I was early so I waited for my hosts. Then at 9AM I spotted both of them then we introduced each other and started the session. Carlos looks young and handsome with his nice curly hair (I have a weak spot for curly hair) and Ana was beautiful on her knitted sweater and scarf.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1yD8MsmvzwEAoJi90UIjU5COc04ylHbwC

We started at the El Cabalito statue then we took pictures on the alleys, vintage doors, famous edifices like the Opera, the house of tiles, the Cathedral, cactus garden, some of the bronze benches scattered around the city, and lastly the arches at the Zocalo. It was fun and interesting. I did poses that were intriguing and provocative. Hehehe.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1M8mpQPkRZk_o_7z_pqy-GcJ7UkEkKvcr

We finished after 2 hours and Carlos told me that he will email me all the pictures that were taken and will allow me to chose 50 pictures for him to retouch and send it to me from a picture album site under his name. The experience was nice and I like it!

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1_x2dypLs0s6QxNALcADzdDsD9lenfroZ

11/15 - Tolantongo Adventure- I woke up early at 5AM for this long trip to Tolantongo and I called an Uber to drop me off at the meeting place. Then I realized that the Uber driver dropped me off at a wrong place which is a residential area (which I realized not Roma Norte) and it was already 6:30AM and I am afraid I will miss the meeting time at 7:30AM.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1jEkuBhKSpNTNvDVRPx_U35sMtlHiaKOp

So I took a taxi then and explained to the driver that I need to go to Roma Norte and I showed him the address of the meeting place. The old man was just cool and he told me we will arrive on time. The taxi was really old and the seat was already worn out. I can feel that it will derail already but it the driver was very confident in driving that dilapidated taxi.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1KvzGZW_dEWw74LBI0gxs7NqKUpBowhA-

I prayed hard that I will arrive on time and I phoned Aaron, the host of this trip, that I am on my way and he told me that we will be meeting at the Café at exactly 7:30AM. Luckily, the old man drove well and we arrived on time. A 10 minute early actually. Hehehe. I can feel my heart racing and my head spinning. I thought I cannot make it to Tolantongo.

The host came exactly at 7:30AM and introduced himself. He was very handsome and appears young. There was another client on this trip named Robert and he was wearing a plunging running shorts which was really funny to look at. He appears flamboyant to me. He said he hails from Miami and we said our formalities. Then we took off to the State of Hidalgo where Tolantongo is located.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=19U5CGTbYEzizA9Jylj3DO-Kr9uvjvmnZ

The drive was 3 hours long and it was boring. Robert was seated in the front and was very hyperactive. I can see that he likes Aaron and he was seducing him and talked to him flamboyantly. It was very cheesy. And he asked Aaron to play a Lady Gaga album and the whole trip we listened to Lady Gaga. Lol.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=10qMvD_B7LHFxx7HkLJ9TRF9I7-_ZRan9

When we arrived at the site, we stopped at the entrance to passed by the disinfecting tent and then we went to the vista to see the canyon below where we can see the valleys and mountains of Hidalgo State. Then Aaron drove us to the ticket both and parked the car at the parking lot while we changed for our swimming outfit.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1Xw76lhB01D3_83GsoASv0NJwgbm2P9CY

After changing, Aaron took us down to the trail leading to the river and the stunning waterfalls where the waters dropped on the foliage that grew on the wall of limestones. It was beautiful to look at from afar.

Then inside the waterfalls were caves with a small water basin inside. I dipped myself in the water and walked towards the basin inside the cave where there is another waterfall inside with warm water falling from the ceiling. There were a lot of people inside but I still manage to go in to see what's inside.

After feeling the water inside the cave we climb up to the tunnels and see what's in there. The walk inside was dark and the rocks were steep plus there were natural drops with deep basins. I did not really went deep inside because it was very dark inside and there were a lot of people going in. The traffic was really crowded.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1iOI-_Ji_vmV6yOya4vRzQVYqiVP7aNAB

We went out of the tunnel and walked towards the river. The breezy air was cold making us shiver. Robert and I dipped in the river were the water was also warm just like the ones inside the cave. I think the cave flows out to the river that's why the water was blue and warm.

We enjoyed the warm waters and enjoyed sightseeing the views around us, critiquing about the people  around us and also talked about our experiences. Robert was already tipsy because he was drinking a lot of alcohol. Aaron was at the riverbank watching us enjoying the water.

When we were tired of the waters we went up and took the towel to cover our bodies and keep us warm from the cold breeze. In order to get more warmer we bought the pulque and tried it. Then we ate lunch at the restaurant (the only one there). And I noticed Robert chugged 3 tequilas to keep him warm while I enjoyed my mug of michelada.

After the lunch, Aaron brought us to the hot springs with the famous eternity pools by the side of the mountains. The water were inviting and it was warm as well. There were a lot of people there too so I look for a vacant eternity pool and enjoyed swimming there. Robert went back to the restaurant to get some more drinks.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1J-Fu0nFXx6EKADQbgJF2RQwntSOZyH9m

I enjoyed swimming at the eternity pool and watching the canyon down below. I also walked around the area and surveyed the whole extent of it. I walked and took pictures of all the corners of the pool springs.

There was a short bridge where I walked into it and took pictures of myself on it and also watched people ziplining at the canyon down below despite of the cold air breeze in the area. After surveying the pools I went to look for another eternity pool and swam a little bit more.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1tSMeubUAzrk2URMJe8403NaCXdQXKKav

Then when the time was up Aaron called us to change and we got ready to leave. The drive home was fast and we arrived at CDMX at around 9AM. I had a chat with Aaron for a while exchanging numbers and emails and then we parted ways.

The day in Tolantongo was fun and I cannot forget my experiences there. Thank you Aaron for showing us around at that magical place. Thank you!!!

11/16 - Playing With The Monarch Butterflies - Today, I will see the butterfly. I woke up early and was very excited because my long time dream of seeing the monarch butterfly sanctuary will be soon realized. Ever since I was a child in the Philippines, I am always curious about how the monarch butterflies migrate from North America to the parts of California and Mexico. That prompted me to read myriad of books and watched videos from YouTube. Now, this dream is at the tip of my finger.

I texted my host Mirasol and told her that I am ready. She had told me the previous night that I am the only one who signed up for this gig so the transportation is all for me. I went down the apartment building all to know that they had closed the street because of the construction.

So I went back to the apartment to use the WiFi because I don't have any mobile WiFi available in Mexico not unless I have to pay a lot of dollars and I don't want to do that.

I messaged Mirasol that I will be waiting for her at the corner of Avenida de Chile and Avenida de Brazil where they started to close the street. I don't feel good that day because my tummy was gassy and gurgling. I felt that I leaked some watery stool on my brief and I don't know if it went through my pants. And it's too late to go back to the apartment and change. So I decided to just go and have it get dry on my brief. Yikes!

Then Mirasol came to pick me up. She was late because she got stuck in the traffic. Traffic in downtown Mexico at that time was crazy. I thought she will cancel this trip and I am glad she did not. Yay!

After I settled myself in the car we're off to go to the State of Mexico where the sanctuary was located. It was located near Morelos and Valle de Bravo. We drove for 3 hours, passed by Toluca and drove more until the mountain where we passed by an area where the street was barricaded with foliage trees. It looks stunning.

The air was cool and the forest was kinda misty and foggy that early morning. The paved road was treacherous and dangerous. There were fallen trees from the windy nights before and needed to be cleaned up by the environmental agents of the state.

We passed by miles and miles of a long and winding road, small pueblos, thick forests, a lake, etc. It took us 3 1/2 hours to get to the sanctuary but when we arrived at the sanctuary my excitement was really at its height.

The sanctuary was really organized. The folks living there were the tour guides. Mirasol told me that it's to protect the sanctuary because some visitors will destroy the trees and sometimes will disturb the sleeping butterflies.

One of the folks named Maria was our guide and she lead us up to the area of the jungle where we can find the butterflies brooding. We walked the organized man made trail. There were also tracks for the horses. Mirasol had told me that it can be reached by walking or riding a horse.

We opted to walk the trail so that we can enjoy the butterflies flying and playing under the sun. We even took slomo videos of the butterflies flying over us. The climb was long, steep, and tiring. We hiked the jungle for 2 hours until we reached the part of the forest with thick trees.

There we saw the butterflies brooding on the tree branches. You couldn't even recognized that there were butterflies on the branches because they look like the leaves of the branches which was colored dark and light gray.

It was also cold in the middle of the jungle and the sun started to set it. It was already 3PM that time. There were few butterflies flying up the air and I also found some dead butterflies that had fell on the ground. Mirasol showed me how to identify the male and the female monarch butterfly.

After seeing the brooding butterflies we walked down the mountain going back to the sanctuary then we left. We were so hungry after that so we decided to eat at Valle de Bravo. Mirasol drove towards the puebla for about one hour and when we arrived there I saw the beautiful town with uniform colored buildings and the lake was stunning.

We ate at the market and the food was great and tasty. After eating we roamed around the beautiful town, took some pictures, walked down the lake front and took more pictures. We left at around 7PM and drove back to Mexico City driving along those long and winding roads inside the forest in the dark. We cannot see anything on the road because it was pitch black so we have to use our beam light and just turn it off when we meet an oncoming vehicle.

We arrive at the city at 10PM and I was very very tired. The experience was worth it and I didn't regret doing it. I thanked Mirasol and vowed to her to call her again if I needed to go out of town the next time I come to the city.

11/17 - Mexican Lucha Libre - Apparently, this experience was cancelled due to the covid19 restrictions. Alfredo sadly emailed me a day before telling me that it was cancelled and he will send me the refund through AirBnb.

It broke my heart that I cannot witness the Mexican Lucha. I dreamed of it in my childhood and I am a fan of Mexican choreographed wrestling. Hopefully when I come back next time I can watch it.

11/18 - Coming Back To Los Angeles - My flight will be at 8PM today but I have to check out at the apartment at 12PM. I messaged Carlos and Clara (the owners) if I could stay at the rooftop deck while waiting for my flight time. I don't want to roam around the city and blend in the crowd on this covid19 era. It's much better for me to stay at the apartment at this time.

At 12PM I left the keys on the table then I went up to the rooftop to kill time. I texted Alejandro, my new friend if he can come to see me before I leave and he agreed provided I will send him Uber. I looked for an Uber to get him and it took him time to arrive because the traffic near my place was very bad.

He arrived at around 2PM and we talked a long time. We didn't realized we we're cuddling each other already and we kissed fervently. There I realized that he liked me, too. We talked and kissed simultaneously being silly at each other and getting comfortable with each other. I was happy that he also liked me.

We exchanged Google translate conversation for that's the only thing we can communicate to each other. He does not speak and understand English. I understand and talk a little Spanish so we resorted to using Google translate to help us in our communication dilemma. So far so good.

At 3PM I decided to leave because I feared about the traffic downtown. We called an Uber to drop me off at the airport. My God it took us  one hour to leave downtown Mexico. The traffic was bad. I was so stressed at the car and Alejandro comforted me. I like the way how positive he is. I am comforted by him.

When we arrived at the airport we bade our good byes and we hugged tightly with each other. He does not want to let lose of me. He was very possessive kissing me on my forehead and caressing my hair. I felt how sad he is thinking that I am leaving him.

I assured him that we will be communicating through WhatsApp and I promised that I will always send him messages. I also assured him that I will come back in January on his birthday. He suddenly lighten up upon hearing that I will be coming back for him. Then he released me from his tight hug and kissed me fervently on my lips for quite a second. It was intimate and full of passion. I never encountered a kiss like that. It dawned on me that maybe he is the one.

Modified Pancit

Yeah... it's new year, and for this we aspire for long life. And the food associated with long life in Asian culture are noodles. So for this holiday I cooked pancit which I believed from my Filipino culture will prolong someone's life.

Cooking pancit is a piece of cake and there were several versions in cooking it. It depends on what ingredients you have. For me, I like my pancit with vegetables so for this one that I gonna cook I will put some pechay and spinach.

First, here are the ingredients:

1 whole chicken, meat stripped

Korean mushroom

3 oz ground pork

3 cloves of pechay - stripped

1 bunch of spinach

carrots, circular cut

onion

garlic

Knor cubes, chicken flavor

oil

soy sauce

garlic salt

chopped onion leaves

lime/lemon wedges (optional)

Process:

On separate pan, boil 2 cups of water and then add a Knor cube to taste. When soup boils, blanch the pechay, spinach, and carrots. Separate in one container after blanching. Set aside the veggies and broth for later.

On a separate basin, poor or run hot water from the faucet. Soak the cornstarch noodles until soft then drain well. Set aside for later.

On the wok, saute onion and garlic until brown. When brown, add the ground pork, then mix the stripped roasted chicken, then add the garlic salt to taste. Let it simmer for 2 minutes. Add 1 Knor cube to taste, then the mushroom. Stir well until thoroughly mixed.

When mushroom is totally cooked, add a cup of broth from the blanched vegetables and then let it simmer and then add the soy sauce, then add the soaked cornstarch noodles. Stir and mix the ingredients well. Salt the noodles with garlic salt to taste. If noodles still dry, add 1/4 cup of broth  to soften the noodles. Continue mixing until evenly cooked. Add the blanched pechay, coined carrots, and spinach and stir well until pancit it evenly covered with the veggies.

When mixed well, top the pancit with chopped onions and let it cool off. Taste pancit and savor the tasty flavor and the healthy veggies. make sure to squeeze some lime or lemon to add acid to the pancit which adds to the palatable taste of the noodles.

Voila , you just cooked a modified pancit. Delicious huh!

Planning For The Next Trip

I am excited for my incoming itinerary to Mexico City on January 21-27. I can't wait to see my Papi. Hahaha. He's so dear to me right now. I guess he got me for his charm in woe-ing me in WhatsApp. He is such a softie and a sweetie.

We met in November when I went to CDMX to travel. And at first it was just a casual meeting but he was very persistent. We met at the hotel and we clicked right away. I easily gave in despite my snobbish personality. And I couldn't even understand why? Maybe he has a charm.... or maybe he's a natural in talking to people.

Here's my activities for the next visit.

I will arrive CDMX on 1/22/21 in the afternoon. And this is only allotted for checking-in at the Airbnb. Then maybe I just go rest and met my Papi to have a dinner. We might be probably cuddling each other because we've been missing each other a lot.

Then on the 23rd, I have a Taco Crawl in the afternoon, so in the morning me and Papi will still have more time to spend sleeping on the bed. Hahaha. I love taco crawl. But I am worried of the Covid19 now that the new strain was been rampant and that the cases were been on the rise.

On the 24th I have a photoshoot with Carlos and Ana in the morning in Roma and Condessa. This is a pre-booked event. I have an experience with Carlos before and he was very professional. In the afternoon, I have a reservation at an Italian resto called Quattro. I read from online that their food was so tasty and to die for.

On the 25th, is my Papi's birthday. I don't know what to give him. Maybe I will give him a Chanel Cologne White Blanc. I have a photoshoot with Martin in the morning in downtown CDMX. This is my first time experience with Martin so let's see how it will workout. In the afternoon, we will celebrate my Papi's birthday at Limosneros in downtown CDMX. The posh resto has a very nice interior as seen online.

On the 26th, I might go to the National Anthropology Museum and just peruse the exhibits there then in the afternoon at 7PM I have a reservation at Casa Virginia in Roma to continue celebrating Papi's birthday. I just want Papi to be happy and feel special on his birthday. I hope he will be indeed happy and fulfilled.

Then on the 27th, I will leave Mexico City at 8PM and maybe I'll just go shopping in the morning and will also peruse the Roma area where my apartment is located.

I just can't wait for this trip. I didn't really expect anything for this trip. All I wanted to do is to just see and hug my Papi, that's all! Hope this trip will be worth it.

It's New Year!!!

It's 2021! It's the beginning of a new year. A year after the pandemic and it's still scrambling because of the pandemic. Things have escalated so much and becomes worse than ever. I just don't know when is the end of this.

It is difficult to usher 2021 with a global problem. Economy was down and unemployment was high. People just don't know how to make their end meet. It's hard and very complicated. The government is a mess as well. Politicians were bickering for who is best and not. Progress is slow.

Yet people were hopeful that one day we can surpass this global adversity. we just don't know when. Vaccines starts to roll down and hopeful this viral global invasion will be eradicated. Our frontliners were working so hard for this epidemic war and it's really hard to fight it leading to exhaustion and burnt out. Frontliners were already exhausted.

Families all over the world were struggling on how to face their daily lives. They just don't know what to do and where to get their resources. They were helpless but hopeful that this can be abated. The question though is ….. when will that happen? It is very scary and frightening to imagine what will happen in the end.

Government is not doing anything. Both parties were just blaming each other and just don't want to cooperate with each other. They don't know that the people were already suffering of their bickering and selfishness. It's just too annoying and disgusting to watch already. Such a shame!

In the end, I wish this new year will bring light to every body. I wish that I can start to travel again. I wish that my work will always be good and nice and that it will be okay all the time. I like this place already and I feel I can invest more time here. I wish  that I can see my family this year. I wish that I will be contented with my life. I wish that I can find somebody who can understand and love me as I am. And I am hopeful for all these wishes!
