Work Talk

Work was been so promising lately. I can't complain for less. I am glad that I am working right now. Whatever plans I have it is very apparent that work was been very nice with me. Love the idea that I mix travel and work. It just gave me the liberty tobe away from the unhurried stressful day.

I am a hardworking person and I luv my work. My work at the facility was the best. I have the chance to take care of the elderly people in the facility as an RN Supervisor. It was a very hectic job but I like the challenge of it. I've been in this business for almost deven years and I cannot believe what I did, how long I have done it, and how I survived the whole thing.

My job at the facility was just purely paperworks rather than hands on with the patient. The CNA and the licensed practical nurses does the menial jobs and I am just supervising them how they do it. My job is the tough job. It entails a very thorough assessment and I have to document it in order for the facility to get paid by the insurance. So far it is a very taxing job and challenging as well. Despite of the stressful environment I still love my job and nothing can ever beat that.

Interacting with the patients, doing their assessment had given me a lot of insight which I've always been using as I interact with people. I gained so much skills in communicating with the patients. Devicing their care plans had given me the autonomy to plan for their recovery. I am very pleased to have done it.

My second and third job was teaching. I teach at a LVN school. Readying people to be like me (registered nurse) is tough but it made me more like a very responsible individual. It was as well a very challenging jod for me at first but eventually I got the loose end of the strand. I am also very respected by my students because of my very strict and complacent attitude. I am impartial and always value all the people around me, from the lowest to the top.

Teaching had made me a lot more confident and that made me tothink first before talking which is one of my foundation as a person. I am lucky to have lived like this. I am proud to say that being self responsible had me realized that I have to do everything on my own and that I have nobody around me to break everything through. I would never trade it in to another job that will shake my entire life.

World Cup Madness

This month was the 2014 Soccer World Cup held all over Brazil. This is the time that people goes crazy about football. I think it is about pride. The pride that each team can bring to their country. Imagine, this is football around the world and may the best team remains.

Among my favorite team were France, Colombia, Mexico, USA, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Brazil. So far all these teams had made it to the round of 16 and they're all doing good. I basically glued myself to the scores at the ESPN website and at the same time watched some of the highlights for each game.

Today one of my favorite team Mexico played with Netherlands. I mean Mexico had dominated the game for almost the whole of the game until the last minute that Netherland had made some crazy turnovers which had enormously affected their performance and had them claimed the game which had advanced them to the querter finals.

I was just saddened for Mexico for choking the game. I think they got over confident which had eventually killed their dreams. How in the hell happened that? It was just crazy amazing, I guess. They were the underdogs and the referees just don't like their presence at the World cup because everytime their in the field the referees under observe their performance.

What also is interesting was the spirit of their coach and the talent of Memo Ochoa, their goalkeeper. Their games since game one were phenomenal giving them the opportunity to shine and be included in the top 16 to play for the qualifications for the quarterfinals.

Today they have given their all but it was not their luck today because of bad refereeing. It was really a shock that they lost because they were dominating the whole time during games. I myself was also stunned. I didn't know what really happened.

All I know was that as the game was to an end, Netherlands was still struggling to put on a goal and fortunately their effort to the last minute of the game had paid off despite of some of the blunders that Rodden had made which was really was made into accound and consideration of the referee. Good for them, they advance to the quarters and Mexico had to exit just because of one mistake and bad refereeing.I was devastated at first but oh well it's just a game and be straightforward sporty.

However, my other team Colombia had already advanced to the quarters after unanimously beat the Uruguayans with a 2-1 score. James Rodriguez was the star of the game during that time. Colombia will battle Brazil for the quarters based on their groupings. Brazil had struggled the other in their game with Chile but eventually they emerged as the winner after an interesting shootout which they dominated. It must be a very mind-blowing games if they happen to meet at the quarters.

Meanwhile, this afternoon Costa Rica had managed to outdo Greece when they played this afternoon. They also outdone Greece during the shootout and now they will qualify. The Ticos were also the underdogs and let's hope and pray that they will not suffer about the sad fate that the Mexicans experience from the referees.

As the cup was drawing near to its conclusion there's still a lot of games to await and watch and the rally on who will be the best soccer team in the world. I just cannot wait who will be crowned and I am here to enjoy all those boring long games. Ciao!

My 10-Day South France Itinerary

I am concocting a plan at this moment about my itinerary in south France to visit my best friend Doreen. It's been a long time that I have not seen her so I decided to gave her a visit that she deserves because she is my best friend. I only have ten days available for a vacation because I cannot afford to have a longer ones.

Job wise it is not indicated for me because it is not a paid vacation. I already exhausted my vacation hours for this week so I have to make a stringent decision to make it shorter or else I will be broke. But at least I got to see Doreen and that's it. Nothing will exchange my excitement to see her again despite of her gruelling health problems. At least I will see her and got to interact with her personnaly, maybe exchanging facts about life.

I will be leaving from Los Angeles on October 19 and will have a night lay-over in Moscow, Russia then I will be ransported to Paris, France the following day arriving there early morning. We will tour Paris upon arrival and also the following day then leave in the afternoon on 10/21.

On 10/22 we'll be arriving in Aix and then rest. On 10/24 we'll leave for Toulouse and then go to Montpellier the folowing day on my birthday 10/24. I will be celebrating my birthday at Montpellier and we might spend a night at Nimes during that time. On 10/25 we'll be exploring Nimes and tehn move to Arles in the evening to sleep. On 10/26 we'll be roaming the beautiful Arles to see Van Gogh creations and then spend a night home at Aix. On 10/27 we'll go to Cannes and then hop to Nice and then go back again to AIx for the night. Then the following day 10/28 we'll go to Marsielle and explore the city. On 10/29 will be rest day, after touring the whole of south France, spending time with Doreen's friends and then at noontim eon 10/30 we'll take a train backto Paris for I will be leaving France at the struck of midnight.

These schedule were very packed and hectic. Very adventurous and ambitious as well. But I have to get the most of it because I was just given a ten day to roam around so I have to use the time wisely and make it memorable. At the same time I will enjoy the company of the woman who trusted me as a nice chum and vice versa. I just can't wait to see this lady again.

I always remember our togertherness, jokes, and laughters. It's very intoxicating and I cannot wait to see and hug her again. Hello France! This will be my third time to France and I look forward to seeing lots and lots of places there. Can't really wait. I wish it's already Octiber. I'm super-duper-uber excited!

Random Things To Blog On

I am very lax lately with my blogging. I am just lazy to write. It seems that I ran out of ideas. And the fact that I am always on the go and goes home tired is another blatant alibi I might concoct. I am just plainly lazy not to blog. Well in fact there's a lot to write but I am just not in the mood of doing it.

Gym lately was also sparsely done. I don't know, I am just sick and tired of going there. I mean I am not really motivated lately. I am doing well at my exercises before but it seems that the spark is not there anymore. I have a thought of divorcing my healthy goals but I am also succumbing to the fact that I already invested a lot of time getting healthy and firm so I guess it is not a good idea right now.

I know I've been laxed with my routines but the drive to live healthy and fit was still there. So at least there is hope. I might just suffering from a low serotonin levels in my systems that I needed to shake up. Hopefully, I will be okay.

My goal is to just at least sweat everyday so that I will be able to maintain my physical endurance and strength. Now, I know how really hard it is to miss out days of work out. It really bummed me out to do it but at the same time I didn't know why I suddenly stopped and realized that I am tired of it already.

I am always working so maybe staying up the whole day had given a toll on my routines making me tired and no appetite to move. I regret doing it and now I am up to challenge myself to move all the time. Hopefully, things will be all right.

I have a new friend and he is very sweet, cute, and handsome. Every time I see him I always smile and giggle dsecretly because I don't want him to see me admiring him. It's really hard to put on a mask. In as much as I wanted to physically touch him, I held myself because I am his instructor. It's hard to put on a fake face in front of him.

As days elapsed we became closer and made friends. He was very sweet and very quiet but very approving as well. I enjoyed his company at lunch during our clinical rotations. He was very expressive in telling me stories about her girlfriend. I am also enjoying his conversations and company when we do some discussions about certain topics. I am glad having him as a friend.

Work is quite a drag lately. We have a situation at work wherein the new administrator was imposing rukes and guidleines to be followed. Actually, some employees were rattled already. We have our new DON as well which I think is also a puppet and could not do anything to defend us. It's just really chaotic right now at work and every one must be on their guard if they want to stay.

There were few employees who were silently and wrongfully terminated. It's always scary here at work because all your actions were being microscoped. It was tough but we have to always be on the alert because it is hard to trust someone. Trust must ne earned and right now we cannot trust the corporate as well. It's really tough!

I stated picking up some theory hours again at school. I vowed not to accept any offers anymore but it seems that I missed teaching theory so I told my boss to put me back again. And when I saw the schedule today I felt like I was in cloud nine. I couldn't ask for more now that my wish was granted by my DON. Yay!

Bangkok: An Exotic Place To Runaway

May 15, 2014 we flew to Bangkok via a Philippine Airlines Flight 237 and we arrived at the Sudharkana International Airport at around noon. We went there without even knowing what is coming or awaiting for us. Despite of the bad news about the political unrests and demonstrations in the sprawling capital of Thailand we were still decided to go and can't resist where our own adventurous nature will lead us.

Arriving in Bangkok, we did not entail any much goals aside from just touring and browsing the place and having a much unintentional getaway away from the hustle and bustle of the Manila traffic as well as the humid weather there. We were just excited like little kids to arrive there in good fate and we can't wait to get out of the long and rigorous immigration line at the airport and start our tour once everything was fine. It was just a long day for us and a tiring week as well, maybe because of the long travels and tour starting from Baguio and around Manila. We barely had a decent sleep the previous days either. Despite of the hassles and setbacks we had to wrestle we were all satisfied about the places we've gone and been so far.

After passing the scrutinizing eyes of the strict immigration officials in Thailand we went out of the airport ecstatically and excitedly looked for the taxi line. We never knew where to ask because it seems that only a few people at the airport speaks English well but we clandestinely managed to find the taxi booth and happily inquired about the fare in going to our hotel. I paid a hefty 1200 baht for the job and then we headed outside the airport to look for the queue.

The driver is just quiet because she obviously doesn't speak English. I hope she knows where to bring us but it seems that she was briefed earlier by the booth receptionist and that she knows what she was doing because I noticed how the guy at the queue had intimately talked to her where to drop us off. I hope she does and I'm still crossing my fingers.

As we drove towards the heart of the city where our hotel was located I noticed that Bangkok's atmosphere was not that smoggy compared to Mnaila. The city appears very clean and there was not any hint of a messy street just like I saw in a picture at Google. The freeway appears modern and not too crowded. The lanes were kind of strange though for me because the vehicle is driving on the left side of the freeway unlike the right side of most of the western countries, due to the fact that the driver is on the right side of the vehicle, which makes sense to me. However, when we exited the freeway towards the streets the pandenium had started because of the crowded and congested traffic.

The drive at the freeway was smooth but it is still strange because the driver is still so quiet and not talking. She just continued driving us towards our ultimate destination, which was our hotel, and nothing more. However, she was so polite at us and just wanted us to be extra comfortable in the car. After thirty minutes we were threading the congested streets of Bangkok trying to just reach our hotel destination in just a nick of time. But I enjoyed looking at the environment, its buildings, the crowded streets, etc. Bangkok has a lot to offer to us I guess. Can't wait to start our poetic journey.

We finally reached our hotel at the business southern part of the city. Our hotel was huge and very clean. The bellhops were very extra polite and very assistive catering to our needs. I liked the atmosphere that we were treated like royalty when we alighted from the taxi. I then went to the reception and inquired to check in. The receptionist were as well very extremely polite and then swarmed at us to assist us for the check in process. I really liked it, if you ask me.

When I got the keys for the room we were then assisted by a bellhop to go up to our room at the 17th floor. The room was huge and wide. It looks like a posh suite and the view from the porch... oh my God, was very fabulous. We have an awesome 180 degrees panoramic view of the city from our 17th floor position. It was so great to have experienced it. For four days, the suite will be our temporary home here in Bangkok. And I am excited on what to find and experience here in Thailand bar-non.

We rested for a while and when we woke up at 1730H we decided to stroll around the city now that the sun is down. The weather was very hot and the humid air had enveloped our skin making us sweaty and wet. We decided to locate the Lumpini subway station but our hunt was unsuccessful. We decided to hire a taxi to drop us off at the Lumpini station only to know that we took the opposite direction. Upon knowing where the station is we decided not to go down the taxi but asked the driver to drop us off at a restaurant because we were starving already.

The driver drove us for a while until we got to a suburb and had us down at a seafood restaurant nearby. We then pay the driver and went inside the restaurant where we were greeted by a guy on an open seafood market where we have to chose first what we would like to eat and point to a picture what type of cooking process we would like to have it done. We then chose the type of seafood we would like to eat and have it cooked inside the kitchen then we were directed to take a sit at the nearby table. It was really hot at that time of the afternoon so we decided to eat inside the airconditioned restaurant.

When our food came out we then started to devour our delicious order then enjoyed the taste of the food in Bangkok. We were so hungry because we have only ate a little since that morning when we left Manila until we arrived in Bangkok. Then all of a sudden we were famished and hungry so we didn't left anything from the food we ordered where I also paid a hefty amount of baht money because those were all seafoods and they cost according to weight but albeit we enjoyed the food and didn't regret ordering it. It was the most expensive sumptous first meal we had in Bangkok. Hehehe.

After we paid the waiter he then find us a taxi to transport us to our hotel and from there I bargained with the driver to drive us to the floating restaurant the following day. We arrived at the hotel tired and it was already night time so we decided to call the dya quits and go to bed thinking that we have a big day ahead.
